ReMIC - Theses

External work is supervised by a company and the topic is proposed. However, the issue of the topic and the supervision on the university side is then carried out by Prof. Palm. The range of topics should be in the field of (industrial or medical) image processing and/or machine learning/artificial intelligence (within or outside of medicine).

Topics for internal work will be proposed in the context of research projects or research interests of the ReMIC. Students' own topic proposals can only be considered in exceptional cases. Topics are often fixed only a few weeks before the start of the semester, so that initially only a rough guide to a topic can be discussed. But the basic goal of medical image processing, especially but not exclusively with machine learning methods, is of course obvious. Previously supervised work can be found here.

Working on internal topics usually requires a training period in the lab, which ideally already starts before the semester starts. Registration then usually takes place during the first 10 days of the semester.

Would you like to work on an internal or external thesis in ReMIC?

Then register using the form below. First of all, all interested students will be collected. Approx. 2.5 months before the start of the semester (1st Monday after January 6 for the SoSe, 1st Monday after July 15 for the WiSe), we will inform you whether or not you can be supervised in the ReMIC. Expressions of interest received later can only be considered if there is still capacity for supervision.
